There are few short journeys in Europe quite as dramatic as the crossing from Copenhagen to Malmö. The Øresund Bridge — 16 kilometres of motorway suspended above one of Northern Europe’s busiest shipping lanes — connects Denmark and Sweden in a way that still feels remarkable.
For visitors to Copenhagen, Malmö is an easy, rewarding and often underrated day trip. Just 35 minutes by private car, offering striking modern architecture alongside a beautifully preserved medieval heart.
The Øresund Bridge: What to Expect
The Øresund Fixed Link opened in July 2000. The crossing consists of a bridge from the Swedish coast to the artificial island of Peberholm, followed by a tunnel to the Danish island of Amager. Travelling by private car across the bridge is a genuinely memorable experience — the views are extraordinary, particularly at dawn or dusk.
Your Eurolimousine chauffeur handles the crossing logistics including the toll, which is included in your fixed tour price.

One of the largest medieval squares in Scandinavia, surrounded by historic buildings including Malmö Town Hall (1546).

The oldest surviving Renaissance castle in Scandinavia, now housing Malmö’s city museum — surrounded by parkland and a moat.
